Sask Submission Series 18.11.2020

I encourage everyone to stop promoting the idea that "this is new normal". That is promoting: Over 3million and counting jobs lost in Canada alone, is "the new normal" The death of small business, is "the new normal"... The end of Martial arts training, is "the new normal" The end of the health and fitness industry, is "the new normal" The end of visiting friends and family, is "the new normal" "This is the new normal" is poisonous mindset. I ask that everyone stops promoting this. We are crushing freedom, personal relationships and businesses over a virus that has been a contributing factor in killing .04% of the world's population. It is only a contributing factor, the vast majority of these deaths were already critically ill people who may have passed at the same time as they did, regardless of covid-19. Not mention the 1000s of doctors who admit numbers are inflated (whether you believe them or not, there have been a lot of them) You can have your opinion on the necessity of all the actions up until now, but please do not spread the idea of "this is the new normal" it is poisonous. If you are working from home for full pay, that can't last forever, if you are collecting government money, that definitely can't last forever. We need to create a "new normal" because this can't be it. #thisisnotthenewnormal

The big box stores have stayed open. Given rule sets to follow they have continued to thrive during this pandemic. Us little guys need that same opportunity! We... need the chance to get back to work, there is no government help coming to us that will save our businesses or make up the $10s or $100s of thousands we have lost. We see the rules, 6ft distance, extra disinfecting, we can do that too. If the big box stores with thousands of people thru per day have not lead to a massive outbreak, our small businesses with a few dozen thru a day certainly are not a greater risk. We need the opportunity to get going again.
