There are 2 types of foundation cracks, horizontal and vertical. Vertical is the most common and can be fixed from the exterior of your house. They do not typically affect the structure of your home and are inexpensive to repair. Horizontal cracks, however, can be the sign of a structural issue and should be inspected sooner than later.
