Bonnie Casselman tells us her story about her work as a grocery store cashier during the pandemic. We need a plan that's rooted in our way of doing things - on health care, on jobs and in how we care for each other. Together we will push forward and fight those who want Canada to embrace American-style cuts, austerity and privatization. www.canadianplan.ca

Saskatoon & District Labour Council 31.12.2020

For the last 25 years, SDLC has been very proud to celebrate Labour day with Saskatoon by hosting a BBQ at Victoria Park on Labour Day. The BBQ provides over 2500 meals and has never been cancelled before. We wanted to support those Agencies that have been supporting Saskatoon throughout the Pandemic. SDLC donated what we would normally have spent on food for the BBQ to some of those Agencies. The SDLC is proud to partner with the United Way of Saskatoon & Area and together w...ith advice from our affiliates we selected organizations that continue to provide nutrition and supports to the people of Saskatoon and Area. Our Executive made a decision to donate $750.00 to each of the following agencies and we took the time to go to the Agency to thank them for their services and ask how they have been able to find ways to continue their valuable services to Saskatoon. In these uncertain times, more so then ever, they need our solidarity and the support from their donors to be able to run their programs safely and responsibly.
