This isn’t just a little boy playing with toys. This is a little boy enjoying a safe space that we call the SPS Child Centre. Sex Crimes and Child Abuse investigators have talked with 354 children at the Centre this year, so far. Today we recognize National Child Day. It’s a day to celebrate the eight million Canadian kids who are our future. It is up to us to protect, educate and empower these children. We need to make sure their often, little voices are not only heard, but amplified in our community. As a police service, we’re committed to making sure that each child who has to unfortunately come through our doors, is seen AND heard.
