Saskatoon SIIT SLC 15.11.2020

These are difficult times for SIIT students. The social and economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is proving to be immense. We want to be here to help you ...shift your focus from financial stress and back into academic excellence. SIIT has worked with our partners at the Province of Saskatchewan’s (Ministry of Advanced Education) Student Innovation and Opportunity Scholarship, Nutrien, Westburne Midwest, and others- to create the SIIT Empowerment Fund- a bursary program designed to provide financial relief to students so that they can continue to be engaged in their academic program and remain focused on academic achievement. If you are currently registered in an SIIT program and in financial need, financial crisis, or need technology assistance- such as a laptop or IT support- please contact your instructor to access the SIIT Empowerment Fund. Your instructor can provide you with information about the bursary- including the application process. Applicants will be connected with a member of SIIT’s Student Services staff to ensure that additional cultural, mental health, and academic supports are provided in addition to financial relief. #mysiit #thenextstep #mysiitfam
