We made the call late last night that we didn’t want our musicians and staff driving to their morning rehearsals due to the state of our roads after the big sno...w - because of that, it pushes all other rehearsals this week back, and instead of compromising our performance, we’re going to reschedule this Sunday’s performance. All ticket holders will receive an email this morning with all the information you need to know. We’ll make an announcement in the next few days about the new date. Stay safe out there!

Annual General Meeting set for Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020 Hello SYO Inc. players and families, Each year the Saskatoon Youth Orchestra Inc. conducts an Annual General Meeting at which the families involved with the Saskatoon Strings and Saskatoon Youth Orchestra get a chance to take part in important decisions regarding our family-run, non-profit educational organization.... Your role in the AGM is very important. Please plan to participate. The Annual General Meeting will take place on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 3:00 p.m. via online platform. A link and details of how to attend the virtual meeting will be forthcoming. The purpose of the meeting will be: 1. Adoption of the Annual Report and Financial Statement for 2019-20. 2. Adoption of the budget for 2020-21. 4. Election of Officers. 6. Appointment of James H. Stinn as the SYO Inc. accountant for 2020-21. We are looking for several new faces to join the board of directors. The commitment involves attending an average of one meeting per month. We are in need of Members at Large, but are also looking for people willing to serving in key roles in the organization. For example, we are currently urgently looking for a Treasurer. The position is suited to an organized individual and no previous financial experience is necessary. Other open positions will be discussed at the AGM. Thanks!
