All those present and past members of the Sask Xcel family send our thoughts and prayers to all the families and friends of the Humboldt Broncos. You will forever be in our hearts.

Congrats to the Saskatoon Stars on winning Sask Midget Prov AAA championship. Good luck in Westerns. Sask Xcel is proud of all of you.

Sask Xcel is very proud of and cheering on two of our alumni from the 2000 Xcel team at the U18 World's Championships in Russia. Willow Slobodzian and Mackenna Parker. We couldn't think of two better young ladies to represent our country. They are fantastic ambassadors for our program. They are the epitome of what you look for in an athlete off and on the ice. They have been working for these moments for a long time and we know they have more ahead of them. Couldn't be prouder and good luck in the bronze medal game.

07 Xcel came up short of the medal round but had a great effort against the Husky Prospects. Lesson learned 00 Xcel team our inaugural team lost their first game ever to the 00 Growl 12-1 and then 6-1 the next time. In the last two seasons they were beating the 00 Growl and the 99 Growl. That team didn't listen to the noise, stayed the development focus, understood what many don't (That it is a marathon not a sprint) and met their long term goals. Stay focused and committed 07 team. Great first year.

O6 Xcel come up on the short end of 4-3 mamouth struggle in the U10 bronze medal match of the North American AAA Hockey Classic. Remember it isn't the final outcome that matters but the lessons learned, skills developed and friendships built along the journey.
