Sassafras T. Pet Memorials

Welcome. Earlier this month, we lost our beloved Sassy, most likely to a Barred Owl. She was a constant companion of mine, & we miss her dearly. For some time now, Donna Larocque & I have been collaborating on custom "Pet Memorials" & we've decided to promote these, separate from our other Facebook pages. For now, they're a common size, just under 12" x 16", & will come with a mounting bracket attached. Made from Corafoam high density urethane & painted with exterior acry...lic paints, they are durable for outdoors as well as suitable for indoor display. Pricing will start at $325, plus applicable taxes & shipping. Upgrades are available, such as 23k gold leaf, & different background textures, such as sandblasted woodgrain, or glass smalts. Upgrade pricing 23k deep gold, 23k red gold, 22k moon gold, & 19k gold ..... $50 Note ... red gold has 2% copper, & Caplain gold is a silvery colour, being alloyed with palladium. Of course, GOOD reference photos are the key to getting a painting of your pet that you'll be pleased with. A photo of your pet at "eye level" ( not looking up at you) will give the best results. TR

Sorry folks.... there has not been a lot of action in the pet memorial biz this year. We started this in April, I believe, but were waiting on someone to make a ceramic urn. We're still waiting. The "box" in the second photo contains her ashes, for now ...... Nilah was a sweet girl, & when I installed this today, her human burst into tears. As usual , Donna Larocque has worked her magic on the pictorial. This is a bit more "heavy-duty" than the usual memorials. The she...lf that holds the urn is a full 2" thick at the back, & tapers to about 1.5" thickness along the sides & front. Nilah's name is done in 19karat Caplain Gold leaf.

I had a request for a smaller, simpler pet memorial. I suspect there may be some demand for these as well. This is the first one. These are about 8"x11" & will sell for $100. High Density Urethane with exterior acrylic paints.

I have always been partial to Collies & Shelties. They are generally such gentle souls. You'll notice there are no dates on the lower panel. That's because Cuddles is still with us, although she's getting "up there". She's not getting around as well as she used to. It'll be a sad day when I get the call to add those dates. Just finished today. . . . This is our first pet memorial with a shelf added for the pet's urn. The copper goblet just happened to be the only thing I had around that looked at all like an urn. I suspect Misty Rose's urn will be much more attractive than this "stand in". All made from DUNA Corafoam U200 & painted with PPG acrylics.

Well, because of the COVID travel restrictions, someone got her Christmas present early. It had quite the road-trip .... Arden Post Office, to Kingston, to Toronto, to Flin Flon, to Snow Lake & finally to its final destination in Moose Jaw, SK. I'm told that the recipient was very pleased with her present. One added feature ..... the recipient's stepdad is a well known signwriter in the Flin-Flon MB & Kenora ON areas. He's retired now, but the lettering, "Lex" , is in his gorgeous script, making this just a bit more personal. Merry Christmas, Niki. Please give your kids a hug from us, & our condolences on your loss of a trusted & much loved companion.
