The SASS Executive Team highly encourages you to vote to yes and keep the fee* OPIRG stands for Ontario Public Interest Research Group, with many branches in Ontario universities. As stated by Nicole Strader, OPIRG McMaster has a rich history of meaningful campus and community advocacy since 1995. OPIRG also has a high reflection of Arts and ...Science students within its demographic. When you think of Threadworks, Eco-Friendly Mac, Bleed Free McMaster, or even new initiatives like Warm Soles you’re thinking OPIRG and they require their funding to be able to continue these projects. *Remember: The fee is optional and you can always opt out.
