San Mueang Update : After some weeks of quarantine , to observe his behavior and to build a trust with his mahout, San Meung is now more calm. This afternoon we... walked him to the river. His former mahout told us that San Meung had never been in a river. His zoo environment where he worked since he was 2 years old, was very limiting. He only knew water out of a hose. At first the boy was uncertain and hesitated to go into the river. When his new mahout accompanied him, he went down eagerly for a swim. You can see how much he enjoys his first real swim .

... Jan Scazighino . The Office of the Canadian Embassy in Cambodia is pleased to announce that Canada will be contributing $CDN 50,000 to Cambodia flood relief efforts. The money will target women and children in the hardest hit provinces of Battambang, Siem Reap and Banteay Meanchey. Legal Support for Children and Women will provide food, medical referrals and migration training to over 2,000 people in need. Newly arrived Head of Canadian Embassy Office, Mr. Jan Scazighino, added that the project will provide relief support to around 500 women and girls who are the victim of the floods. We anticipate it will also help around 100 women and girls to be referred to medical practitioners to receive proper health care. And finally, around 1,000 flood victims will receive training and information on gender-based violence and safe migration. See more

Checking the rice field and seeing how the vegetable farms of the villagers have been progressing. I am happy to see that all the crops are growing well. We want to thank all of our international supporters for playing a big part in the villagers' journey to self-sufficiency.
