Just because our Fall Colours Tour was cancelled it didn't stop some cruisers from doing the tour on their own. It was a gorgeous day for a scenic tour of the countryside and the food from the Hungry Hanger at the end of the trip at Wiarton Airport was phenomenal. It was the perfect ending to our season.

THE FALL COLOUR TOUR HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE LAST MINUTE LOSS OF SUPPORT FROM THE TOWN OF SAUGEEN SHORES AND THE GREY ROOTS MUSEUM AND THE GREY BRUCE HEALTH AUTHORITY. The formal event was cancelled on Wednesday. We new it was far too late to stop all folks from still coming. So the only thing that has been cancelled is our ability to take a donation for Crime Stoppers and give out a map of the route and send people off in an orderly fashion. Nothing else has changed.... The colours are still gorgeous, the day is wonderful and the map we had on the Facebook page will still show you a great route to see everything. We have notified the eating establishments accordingly and they all will still welcome classic car owners if they show up. Have a great day. WE WILL HAVE VOLUNTEERS AT EACH OF THE FOUR LOCATIONS TO SEND THOSE WHO HAVE NOT HEARD ABOUT THIS TO CONTINUE ON. . - . , . . --- .

Well we ended our season tonight with a great turnout of 19 cars. Thanks to all the cruisers who came out and enjoyed our stroll down Main Street on Tuesday nights. Also thank you to all the enthusiastic bystanders cheering us on. Don't forget to join us for our last major event this year, the Fall Colour Tour on Sunday Sept. 27th.

LAST CHANCE! Tuesday night Sept. 15th will be our last Stroll down Main Street for the season. We will then retire to the Community Center to celebrate a successful season and discuss plans for next year. Looking forward to seeing y'all there!

It was a tad chilly and pretty overcast tonight, but we had 3 diehards show up tonight. Is it time to hang it up?

This service is free but we only ask that if you mark it for sale send a donation in any amount to Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce. Our Labour Day Special Edition cruise was a honking success tonight. Thanks to the 16 cruisers who joined in the fun, and to all of our supporters lining the street. Have a great Labour Day Weekend everyone!

SORRY TO ANNOUNCE that the run to Neyaashiinigmiing (Cape Croker) has been cancelled until next year. It has been a tough year and COVID-19 has been a cruel master of our lives. Due to the last-minute nature of the notice we could not pull it off in time to meet Covid protocols with sufficient numbers to make it happen. Next year will be an entirely different situation and we intend to pull it off even bigger. Thanks and appreciation go out to Nancy Pedoniquotte who approached us and tried her best to get the ball rolling. Great to work with her. :)

We had 25 brave cruisers betting that the weatherman was wrong about the rain tonight. Luckily it held off until 7:50, just enough time to get our run down the main drag in and a few minutes of social time.

Chris Davey has asked us to share this with our cruisers: Good morning! I am hoping you can share this photo with your group. The Ripley Fall Fair is forced to run things a little different this year with COVID. We do plan on having a nice parade with classic cars and antique tractors. Would love if some of you would join us.

Mr. Allen Swift: Born - 1908 - Died 2010 This man owned and drove the same car for 82 years. Mr. Allen Swift ( Springfield , Massachusetts ) received this 1928 Rolls-Royce Piccadilly-P1 Roadster from his father, brand new - as a graduation gift in 1928.... He drove it up until his death in 2010....At the age of 102. He was the oldest living owner of a car that was purchased new. It was donated to a Springfield museum after his death. It has 1,070,000 miles on it, still runs like a Swiss watch, dead silent at any speed and is in perfect cosmetic condition. 82 years - That's approximately 13,048 miles per year (1087 per month).

The sun came out just in time for another crowd pleasing cruise in Port Elgin and Southampton tonight. If you missed it, join us again next week at the Plex for a 7 pm start, it just keeps getting bigger!

Another crowd pleasing stroll down the main drag again tonight with a great turn out of 45 cars. A good time was had by all, especially the spectators.

Tobermory Cruise Nite Thurs Aug 27 6pm We are planning a first cruise nite get together in Tobermory at Tobermory United Church keeping covid rules in mind ...This thursday Aug 27 6pm till dusk?? Rev Brad Inglis has allowed us use of the parking lot !!!, bring out your classic car n ur chairs, lets c if we cant make this thing ongoing !! Would like to c a yes post if u plan to come!

From Dave Middleton: Looking for 8 to 10 classic car owners to join me tomorrow morning for a visit to Kingsway Arms in Port Elgin and Southampton Care Centre in Southampton. Please send me a private message if you are interested. Leaving Plex Parking at 10 am Saturday morning and should be back by noon. A chance to entertain seniors that haven't been able to get out and do anything for 5 months now.
