Here is a photo of Mika enjoying the sun, taken by our son, who owns her.
Cairn Update: Sad news. Hailey had only one pup and it was stillborn. She is doing ok and has been to the vet for an x-ray.
CAIRN UPDATE: Happy 3rd birthday to our escape artist Flash. He and Hailey are expecting a litter around June 22. Pups ready to go in early September.
TOLLER UPDATE: The spring breeders clinic was cancelled and Mika was not able to finish her health clearances. Hopefully it can be done before her next season in November. This means no pups til January, ready in the spring. Here is Zena (Mika's mom) retrieving a ball this weekend.
A little sunshine is appreciated by Flash and Hailey
If anyone asks if cairns have attitude, the answer is yes.
March 12 was Lisa Marie's 14th birthday. Here she is today. Yes, she can still jump onto the couch.
Sorry everyone, Mouse came to visit and it looks like she is not pregnant. I will post here if I hear of another litter. I am not planing on having one til at least next winter. Breeders are few and far between so you may have to look further afield.
Kathryn has her arms full with Kit and Alex, now living in Parksville.
Flash is looking wild and wooly and needing a trim, but happy always.
Happy Valentines Day. It was warm and sunny. I visited the cairn puppies and we went for a walk with Flash and Hailey, then I took the tollers to the lake.
Celebrating the old ones. Half sisters, Ruby (14) and Lisa Marie (13).
The terrible two are almost ready to leave. Still looking for a home for the girl which would be interested in showing/breeding/doing agility or dog sports. Lots of potential here. Both parents Champions (dad has grand) and a ton of agility titles.
It is possible that Mouse (and Flash) will be expecting puppies in mid March.
And the winner ---of the whose ears go up first contest---at 6.5 weeks is the boy. He also shows indications of becoming a superb agility dog like his dad. PM me if you are into agility.
