The government does not fund equipment purchases so we rely on donations from the community to fulfill these needs. Having such an impact on the community m...eans we need you on our team. What you need Up to 5 years’ experience in an accounting/finance role, preferably in a non-profit/charitable environment Strong computer and technical skills, including proficiency in Quickbooks, website maintenance, pre-authorized payment software, and Excel. Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs is required. Proven attention to detail and accurate data entry Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities, organize and prioritize workflow while being self-motivated. Demonstrated excellent judgment, discretion and initiative in dealing with confidential information and/or in responding to inquiries Ability to work independently Willingness to work flexible hours as required If you’re hardworking, diligent, motivated and consider your awesomeness to rank at least a 7 out of 10 submit a resume and covering letter to [email protected] Applications must be received no later than November 9, 2020. It was a blustery day for golf today but the sun came out in the end for this amazing group of guys. The Saugeen Memorial men's group enjoyed weekly rounds of golf this summer and decided to use the weekly dues to raise funds for their local hospital. The group raised over $1500 to go toward the $80,000 needed to purchase 4 new defibrillators for the crash carts at the hospital. A big thank you to this fun group for supporting local healthcare!
The Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation was happy to present a cheque today for $100,000 to Gary Sims the CEO of GBHS. This cheque will pay for the 4 new defribrillators that are needed for the crash carts at the hospital in Saugeen Shores. Thank you to everyone who donated to bring this life saving equipment to our community!... Since the government does not fund the purchase of equipment for the hospital we rely on donations from the community to help fulfill these needs. A big thank you to local groups and businesses such as The Rotary Club (Huron Shore Run),Southampton Residents Association, Boston Pizza, Tundra Technical and residents who came up with creative ways to raise funds through various golf activities and even garage sales. The Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation is seeking a Part-time Accounting Officer. This position manages the daily and monthly financial requirements of the Foundation. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the donor database, grant application, preparing reports and statistics and assisting with special events. The weekly hours can vary between 22.5 and 30 hours per week. Qualifications Successful completion of a college-level accounting/finance diploma progr...am Up to 5 years’ experience in an accounting/finance role, preferably in a non-profit/charitable environment Sound knowledge of CRA Regulations for Registered Charities Strong computer and technical skills, including proficiency in website maintenance, pre-authorized payment software, QuickBooks and Excel.
