So I hope everyone's summer is going great! I hope everyone enjoyed the last few months. But school is right around the corner and we will be back for another year. Over the summer I spoke and met a lot of amazing people from the LGBTQ+ community and ended up with something I believe will help those transitioning from a woman to a man. After hours of speaking to many people who have or are going through their transition, I created a poem. So without further ado... "To The Wom...an I Once Was" To The Women I Once Was To the woman I once was, may I be proud of who I am, May my battles be fought with pride, not shame, To the scars that now replace my breasts, you show me strength as a person, For the years to come, may I wear them with dignity, To the hair that I cut off, I will miss you but it was for the best, Even though you were part of me, you are still important. To the woman I once was, may I face my future head on, I shall not let my past define me, but let it tell a soothing tale, For the family members that disowned me, may you know I'm doing fine, I haven't let your words break me, but instead make me stronger, To the hair that now grows across my cheeks, that makes me whole, Will they show who I have become, and the man I will be. To the woman I once was, I still hold a piece of you in the back of my mind, You are not gone, but instead made new, For the clothes that I have bought to fit my new self, and the shape of my body, You will be worn with pride and with honour, silent but loud, To the woman I will eventually marry, I love the woman you are and the women I once was. Anywho the QSA will be back in the fall and we are looking for new members. Also, we have some great events planned this school year so keep an eye out for future announcements. Sincerely, QSA President, Morgan Mitchell

!REMINDER! March 31st is International Transgender Day of Visibility TODV aims to bring attention to the accomplishments of trans people around the globe. They fight against cissexism and transphoiba while spreading the knowledge of the trans community to everyone. This is not a day for mourning, but a day for celebration for how far our trans-community has come. Show your support on March 31st by using the hashtag #tdov or #transthriving ... Sincerely. QSA President Morgan Mitchell
