Our 2020 year-in-review post is now up at http://saultmetalscene.blogspot.ca/ where we look back at the concerts, news events, album releases, comebacks, and more in the most trying year we've ever had for the local scene, both for the site and for bands & fans in general. Give it a look if you want, and here's to a much better 2021 ahead, surely! Due to the mass uncertainty about what lies ahead in 2021, we will not be doing our usual New Year's Day forecast post at the year ahead, just in case every prediction and speculation ends up being wrong or premature. Our next post will likely be this month's "Where Are The New Albums?" post on Saturday!

Give it a look if you want, buy it below, or stream it on major music streaming services!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Today's post features details on the new lockdown in Ontario and what it means for the very few concerts on the schedule in the coming weeks, plus an apology for a missed show, and a new belated Christmas carol cover video. Check everything out if you want at http://saultmetalscene.blogspot.ca/!

This month's YouTube Channel Profiles are now up at http://saultmetalscene.blogspot.ca/ where we're looking at Marco Pedalino's channel (featuring videos of the local Airbourne concert and his old punk band The Wing-Its) and Soufiane El's channel (featuring a Woods of Ypres lyric video.) Give everything a look if you want, and barring a massive cascade of news over the holidays, we'll be back with one last news post for 2020 on Sunday, which will definitely include the new lockdown in Ontario. In spite of that, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays!

As we do not have enough material for a normal post yet, here is a Facebook-exclusive SHORT NOTICE LOCAL CONCERT ALERT, as local hard rock solo artist Tym Morrison will play his final gig of 2020 TONIGHT at Reggie's Place! Apologies for the short notice, Tym only announced the show via it's Facebook event page yesterday. The atypical mid-week booking appears to be a way to squeeze in one more concert before the holiday break and the new 2 week lockdown in Northern Ontario due... to rising COVID-19 cases in the province. Visit your preferred national/Ontario news outlet for more information on the lockdown. This will virtually wipe out what little of a concert calendar we had in Sault Ontario for the remainder of 2020. If you want to see Tym's entertaining blend of hard and classic rock covers, and presumed country inclusions given the locale, head to the downtown Reggie's TONIGHT for all of the action while you still can! This is a 7:00 PM and 19+ event with no announced cover charges, and please respect the venue's social distancing measures, and wear your mask where required. As for our next posts on the SMS, I am likely going to post this month's YouTube Channel Profile tomorrow, which will buy time to pool together more news items for a post on December 27th, with our 2020 year-in-review post likely to follow on the 30th. If news cascades in to warrant breaking a 3 day pattern, I welcome it, but that's where we appear to be in the homestretch of the year. We'll keep you posted!
