Planning to register your child in swimming lessons for Winter programming but aren't sure what swim level your child currently swims at or they need a re-assessment of their current level? Swim assessments are happening on Saturday, November 28th from 1:30-3:30PM! Your child will get the opportunity to complete a 15-minute swim assessment with one of our swim instructors/lifeguards to determine what level they are swimming at to determine which level they should enrol in -... for no charge! Winter programs will begin on Monday, January 4th and will be keeping the same protocols in place to continue to keep our Y a safe and healthy environment. The Y is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of a long-time member, supporter and dear friend.

We have selected the winning class for the Peace Week Mural colouring contest - it wasn't easy with so many incredible murals created by students all over Sault Ste. Marie! Congratulations to the Grade 4B class from F.H. Clergue Public School! This was a piece of art! We would also like to reward the Grade 1/2 class at Pinewood Public School for going above and beyond and learning a whole Peace poem which was presented to us through video! Everyone did a GREAT job and we we...re so happy to receive so many awesome submissions, THANK YOU for your participation! Thank you to everyone who celebrated YMCA Peace Week with us! We were inspired to see how you #actforpeace, gathered together as a community, and created spaces that foster belonging and inclusion.
