All features of the CRA website are now back up and running ! It was nice to actually be able to work today ! Thank you for your patience everyone! If for some reason, you stop getting your benefits or you get strange letters in the mail and are not sure what they are, please do not hesitate to call or inbox me! ... I am always here to help! However - PLEASE do NOT bring me those letters - I can see them online as your authorized representative in your CRA account. See more

I think the situation at CRA is much worse than they are letting on. Tax preparers still have no access to their client's CRA accounts, cannot efile nor can we access slips or auto-fill. So again, if you dropped off your taxes as of last Wednesday, it might be days or weeks before your taxes are prepared. This is also true for anyone waiting for me to access accounts for Notices of Assessments or checking on documents you received from CRA. We are at the mercy of CRA and how soon they fix their mess...

All tax returns received since Friday have been put on hold. CRA has had a security breach affecting over 5,500 individuals at this time. I believe it is restricted to the Winnipeg area but I am not sure about that. CRA has stated that if you have been affected, you will receive a letter from them. If you have any doubts at all about it's authenticity, do not hesitate to call, email me or contact me here on FB. This means I have no access to accounts, downloads, checking reviews/adjustments or e-filing at this time. Hopefully, the CRA site will be back up soon....

CRA has announced a one-time payment to persons with disabilities - You do not have to apply for the one-time payment, it will be automatically issued to: -holders of a valid Disability Tax Credit certificate, and -beneficiaries as at July 1, 2020 of: -Canada Pension Plan Disability... -Quebec Pension Plan Disability Pension, or -one of the disability supports provided by Veterans Affairs Canada CRA expects to issue the payments beginning this fall. I am providing this information as a courtesy. Please do not call me to ask if you will get it because I cannot tell you - please call the numbers provided in the link I provided.

After 26 years of telling clients that cheques have to be made payable to "Josee Sauve" - they now have to be made out to "Sauve Tax Services" as we finally got too big to continue using our personal chequing account and now have a business account. So FYI - all cheques must now be made payable to SAUVE TAX SERVICES... On another note, the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) has yet again extended the deadline to file with no late filing penalties or interest until September 30th. However, please be forewarned that according to the CRA, if you don't file by Sep 1st, you will be cut off from the following benefits that you would usually get in October: -GST (October 5, 2020) -OTB (October 10, 2020) -CCB (Baby Bonus) - (October 20, 2020) -GIS (Guaranteed Income Supplement via Old Age Security) (October 30, 2020) If you haven't filed yet - DO IT NOW and don't wait until you are cut off from these important benefits !!! Failure to file your taxes by September 1st could see you waiting until January 2021 for some of these benefits!

So in 3 weeks, over 300 tax returns were picked up!! YAY! That still leaves us with over 800 tax returns still cluttering our home. If you want to pick up - just give us a call (613-933-1938) - we are here almost all the time. We can either put them out on the veranda for you or hang them between the doors on our wreath hook in a shopping bag. ... Just make sure you speak to one of us in person - leaving a message via phone or FB telling us you will be here in 10 minutes when no one answers you is no guarantee we got the message or your taxes will be there. But if you speak to one of us, we will accommodate you! Thank you !

Tomorrow is our last day of curbside pickup PLEASE PLEASE Please PICK your tax packages up - 11AM to 4PM! However, anytime you want to pick up, just call us (613-933-1938) and we will accommodate. One of us is home pretty much at all times. We still have over 800 tax returns that need to be picked up! Optimal is calling from the driveway on your cell phone when you pick up HOWEVER, we can accommodate day or night with pick up between our two front doors at any time. We just want your taxes gone - and will do whatever we can to accommodate you! Thank you so much to those who have picked up in the last 3 weeks and thank you ahead of time to those who see this message and will continue to pick up!

We truly don't have the storage capacity for this many tax returns! This is our last week of curbside pickup - Wednesday (July 29th) to Saturday (August 1st) 11AM to 4PM. Call from the driveway, we come out and put it on a table on the veranda and once we are back in the house, you come up and pick it up.... We can also accommodate other times and days either on the little table on our veranda or between the doors - we will do whatever we can to make sure you pick them up !!!
