NEXT GEN Cattery 11.11.2020

Here is some basic information what an "SBT" stands for in a Savannah cat breed. Stud Book Traditional - It is a TICA "The International Cat Association registration rule. It means a cat that has nothing but Savannah to Savannah breeding within at least three generations. The closest it could have in a Serval is a great-great grandparent. As "Rescued" said, an SBT Savannah is about the size small dog, however, with bigger and longer ears, and like a normal cat that has longer... legs than average. The main objective in this type breed is to create a replica version of a mini exotic serval wild cat. Scientists have not yet gotten there but breeders made a lot of progress so far. Savannah servals are more energetic than an average domestic house cat, while being easier to have as a pet than the Foundation generations with higher percent of Serval. The largest breeds of Savannah cats are the mighty F1 & F2 generations and some of the F3s. BREAK DOWN: (F1 = Serval parent. F2 = Serval Grandparent. F3 = Serval Great Grandparent) In USA for example, some states have banned Savannah cats; others allow some later generations of Savannah's but not some of the early generations. The F5 generations we offer are legal in Canada and USA but may be restricted in some other Countries across Europe. By-Laws for theses type of animals change all the time, so keep that in mind. There is a forum called Savannah Cat Chat where you could read and learn from what has been discussed on there and join yourself if you are interested.
