UPDATE - The City has now been informed that Powell River and the qathet Regional District are now included in the Provincial Health Officer's new orders: https...://www2.gov.bc.ca//covid-19-provincial/lower-mainland. As a result, as of 10 pm tonight the Powell River Recreation Complex will be postponing all programs and registered drop in fitness classes through to noon on November 23rd. This includes all registered recreation programs, fitness classes, pickle ball, table tennis, hockey, and ice bookings. The gym will remain open as scheduled. Hello people of Savary, Summer has come and gone and hopefully you are all in one piece! In the coming weeks leading up to Thanksgiving and beyond, Brackenwood ...will only have one employee (me). I have a feeling more people will be here than I'm used to serving at this time of year so in light of that I'm asking everyone who is planning to stay on island that needs regular propane service to help me out so I can maintain an effective and efficient service. What I need: -Those who are able, and willing, please put their empty propane cylinders at the road side and leave a message on the propane line (604 483 8926) for pick up. I will hook up the full tank on it's way back. I check the propane messages in the morning. -Those that are unable to move their own tanks please leave a message on the propane line and I will come by. -Those who are coming back to Savary for Thanksgiving please leave a message on the propane line at least a week in advance with your last name, arrival, and departure dates. Those who are planning to stay for the winter and need regular checks please email me ([email protected]) your name and the months you will be on island. I would like to compile a list of full time residents to create some kind of winter checking routine. For everyone else who brings their tanks to the depot themselves nothing has changed. I will fill them and leave a bill in the valve. If you drop it off and expect it to be delivered please leave a message saying "1-way".
