10 years ago Nigel was diagnosed with ocular melanoma and has lived through many ups and downs since then. It is a rare disease, and when it metastasizes, as it did for Nigel, it is especially dangerous, especially as there is still no approved treatment in Canada. We're thrilled to announce that the province of Prince Edward Island has just listed the combination Opdivo + Yervoy as a first line treatment for advanced melanoma (regardless of BRAF status). PEI is the last province to cover this treatment, which means patients all across Canada now have access to these drugs for advanced melanoma.

In 2009, Mike was told his Melanoma was terminal and he should get his affairs in order, but he didn't give up.
