A little bit about BBA Past Exec Fred Shuman and Claudette Shuman who are co-owners of Say it with Stitches Promotional Products & More, now in its 32nd year !...! Wow ! The Company was started by Claudette & operated as a home based business until they purchased, in 1989, the existing retail & production facility at 1105 Bedford Highway, Bedford. Fred & Claudette moved to Nova Scotia in 1977 when Mobile Oil began drilling off Sable Island. Fred was working for Okanagan Helicopters as a pilot & was transferred to NS to support Mobile’s offshore drilling program. Fred hails from Edmonton, Alberta & has been flying helicopters for 50 years; beginning in the US Army in 1968 including a tour in Vietnam. To date, Fred continues to fly with Vision Air Services from the Halifax Airport. Claudette was born in Haileybury, Ontario with a French background & spent most of her life in Montreal. They met in Fort George, (now Chisasibi), in Northern Quebec. Claudette was working in the local hospital & Fred was flying on the James Bay, hydro-electric project. Then years later Say it With Stitches was born ! Say it with Stitches is a full service promotional products company providing a wide variety of products including apparel, uniform, backpacks, pens, mugs and much more. All products can be decorated through embroidery, screen-printing, laser engraving and heat sealed transfers. The company is founded and operates on the Christian axiom do for other what you want done to you.
