**Assessment Centre Update** An online appointment booking system will be launched on Monday, October 5 for the Kincardine COVID-19 Assessment Centre. Beginning Monday, October 5, appointments can be booked online by visiting www.sbghc.on.ca and clicking ‘Book a COVID-19 Test'.... On Monday, October 5, the Assessment Centre will continue as a drive through model with no appointment necessary. Beginning Tuesday, October 6, an appointment will be required for testing and walk-ins will no longer be accepted. https://bit.ly/2GrXQbm

SBGHC is looking to our patients, families and community stakeholders to help shape the future of the hospital as we begin a strategic planning exercise for 2021-25. An online survey is now available on our website, which also gives an opportunity for individuals to identify their interest in participating in a virtual focus group to be held later this fall. The survey will remain open until November 1.

**Assessment Centre Update** The online appointment booking system for the Kincardine COVID-19 Assessment Centre is now live. Visit www.sbghc.on.ca and click ‘Book a COVID-19 Test' to make an appointment. Beginning Tuesday, October 6, an appointment will be required for testing and walk-ins will no longer be accepted.

Beginning Wednesday, September 23, the hours of operation for the COVID-19 Assessment Centre at the Kincardine hospital will be expanded to 10:00 AM-6:00 PM Monday to Friday. Please note, cars will not be allowed to line up for the Assessment Centre prior to 9:50 AM to avoid causing long lines of cars waiting to access the hospital and traffic congestion on Queen St. A system for booked appointments for the Kincardine Assessment Centre is in development, and is expected to ...be implemented next week. ** Kincardine COVID-19 Assessment Centre Update ** Like most COVID-19 Assessment Centres across the province, the Assessment Centre at the Kincardine site of South Bruce Grey Health Centre has been experiencing very large volumes as it opened for the week on Monday, September 21, 2020. These large volumes have caused a long line of traffic waiting to access the hospital site. The line of traffic has backed onto Queen Street, creating access problems to the hospital, and cre...ating congestion along Queen Street. SBGHC has worked closely with staff from the Municipality of Kincardine to ensure traffic is not restricted along Queen Street. Hospital staff have spoken with all patients waiting in line to inform them that Public Health has communicated that any asymptomatic individual does not need to be tested unless directed to do so by Public Health. SBGHC will continue to take action to ensure that everyone who requires a test can receive one in a timely fashion. To assist us in managing volumes of patients, we would ask that you follow the direction of Public Health around the testing of asymptomatic patients, and as we have communicated earlier, please consider visiting the Assessment Centre after 2:00 pm when volumes are typically lower. SBGHC will also be taking additional steps in the near future to provide a more coordinated queuing system to prevent a backlog of traffic onto Queen Street, and will be implementing an online booking system to prevent a need for long waits. ** Kincardine COVID-19 Assessment Centre Update ** Volume trends at the Kincardine Assessment Centre are being reviewed continually, and it has been found that wait times are significantly reduced after 2:00 pm. We encourage the public to take this into consideration when planning their visit.

**Kincardine COVID-19 Assessment Centre Update** On Monday, September 14 we experienced overwhelming volumes at the Kincardine Assessment Centre. Additional staff were brought in to assist, but wait times were long and some people were not able to be seen. We expect to see similar volumes today, and will be prioritizing patients that have symptoms. If you do not have symptoms, please consider an alternative day to come.

Beginning Monday, August 10 through mid-November, the Municipality of Brockton will be upgrading the sewer lines and repaving McGivern Street. During construction, patients, visitors and staff can access the Walkerton hospital via Park St. (see map below). Traffic detour signs will be posted.

SBGHC is hiring Pandemic Response Workers for our four sites (Chesley, Durham, Kincardine, Walkerton) to screen all individuals coming into the hospital and direct them to their destination. Visiting restrictions that have been put in place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic will be relaxed in a careful and gradual way, beginning on Monday, June 29, 2020 with visiting for admitted Acute Care patients.
