For the Easter Sunday service at 10:30 a.m., the Scarborough Bluffs U. C. choir will be presenting a cantata: UPON THIS ROCK - The Passion, the Question, the Call This contemporary cantata by the young American composer Pepper Choplin depicts the events of Holy Week through the eyes and experience of the disciple Peter. We witness the Passion of Christ as observed by Peter; the Question to Peter from bystanders: Do you know this man?, the Call, through Peter the Rock, for a...ll of us to build Christ’s church and lead others to HIm. The cantata carries us through the various emotions and the complexity of Peter's reaction to events and to his ongoing relationship with Jesus. As we experience the story through Peter, we are led to ask, What is our passion? What is our call? Who do we live for? "And so our love, our love for Christ Will be the cause, the reason why we live our days to work in faith. Faith in the rock, the solid rock. (Upon This Rock)
