UPDATE: THE SHOW IS ON FOR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. The show is still on for today (Friday). We respect each persons decision whether they choose to attend or not. We have spoken to the judges and vendors in attendance and they are all on board to continue. There is hand sanitizer on site, extra washroom cleaning scheduled, cleaning supplies on and around all tables. Volunteers, staff and vendors are all practising extra personal sanitation. There will be a final decision m...ade tonight after BIS whether to continue for Saturday and Sunday. As outlined in the premium list, there will be no refunds either way. "Substitutions or cancellations of any entry after the closing date is prohibited" and " If, because of riot, civil disturbance or other acts beyond the control of management, it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of Entry will be made". YES! We are having a Children's Colouring Contest at the Show this year. Print a copy and submit it at the event. We also offer Junior Handling on Sunday March 15th including an (unofficial) Itzy Bitzy class for children under 4. Judge will be Peter Scott.

MEET THE JUDGES: YVONNE SAVARD Yvonne’s start into the dog world was walking into the show ring as a Junior Handler with a big male Bouvier des Flandres at the 7-day benched Sportsman Show in Toronto Ontario in 1969. The love for bouviers and dog shows remained with her from that day forward. Breeding bouviers under the prefix BARBU Perm Reg’d, JBB and BARJEN, she has had the excitement of winning BOW at the American National Bouvier Specialty 5 times and being the owne...r of the Top Dog all Breeds in Canada in 1984. Yvonne has bred and shown multiple Best in Show winners both in Canada and the US. Although her main focus was Bouviers she has owned and shown Irish Setters, Doberman Pinchers, German Shepherds, Pekingese and presently an Affenpinscher . Yvonne handled and trained various breeds in her career with dogs. Yvonne’s professional life has always involved animals in some way from Veterinary Medicine to Animal Welfare. Yvonne served on the ABdFC- Health Committee, is an approved Breed Mentor and is a 25+ year member ABdFC as well as Past President of the Canadian BdFC. She is one of the founding members of the Bouvier des Flandres Club of BC. Currently she is a Territory Manager for a Veterinary Pharmaceutical Company. She is an approved All Breeds Judge. She has had the great honor of judging both the American National Bouvier Specialty, the Canadian National Bouvier Specialty and the New Zealand Bouvier Specialty. She has had the pleasure of adjudicating in Canada, USA, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia and the Philippines. She is a member of the CKC, A Breeder of Merit with the AKC and is a member of each the CDJA, ADSJ and DJA. (Dog Judges Associations). See more
