Scandinavian Midsummer Festival this Weekend! Viking Village, Cultural Displays, Shopping Kiosks, Dancing, Bonfire, Beer Garden, Music, Raising Midsummer Pole, Traditional Scandinavian Foods, Kids’ activities. The fun and crazy wife-carrying contest on Sunday always draws a lot of attention along with continuous entertainment all weekend. The theme for Midsummer Festival 2019 is "Splendours of Scandinavia". Join us as we celebrate the richness of Nordic culture, expressed in so many different ways!

The 2019 Midsummer Festival is delighted to present the Nordic Singers from the Royal Opera of Copenhagen. Three Danish singers and their accompanist will entertain our audiences with a lively mix of popular opera arias and duets, pop and traditional Scandinavian songs, ABBA repertoire, and much more. As part of their 2019 North American tour, the Nordic Singers will be the main attraction on the Midsummer Festival stage, on both Saturday 22 June and Sunday 23 June, 2019. This is truly a special occasion for Vancouver music lovers and anyone who enjoys a summer festival!
