When I sat listening to the announcement today that Saint John has moved back to orange I thought I should be angry or upset, but I wasn’t. Instead it just served to remind me that back in March Saint John quickly stepped up to the challenge we are all facing and did what needed to be done. Well, we’ve all learned a lot since then and we know how get through this, it’s simple: just respect one another and be kind. And patient. So, the shop will be open tomorrow as normal, 10...-5. Masks are mandatory and there is hand sanitizer perched atop our beautiful new counter that we insist everyone uses (or ask for disposable gloves which we have a supply of). Also, I think we’ve all got a little relaxed about things lately I know I have so as a reminder, please practice physical distancing at all times. If there is someone else in the shop, give them space. It’s a book shop, there’s no rush. And you can always come back a little later if there’s too many bookworms around. Speaking of which, until Christmas, we will be open on Sunday from 11-4 as well. So, if things are a little busy tomorrow it’s not a problem, come see us on Sunday. We've only stocked the Christmas puzzles at 1, max 2 of each image. We will (try to) delete images as they sell out to avoid disappointment.

A kinda weird year requires a kinda different approach to the holiday season. So starting the 22nd of November, in addition to our regular Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 5pm, we will be open Sundays 11am to 3pm. If you require or prefer the shop to yourself (or with your bubble), we are offering appointment-only shopping on either end of that time frame (call us @ 693-9948 or contact us through our Facebook page to prebook). We are still happy to offer curb-side pickup or free delivery in the Saint John and surrounding area for anyone who isn't completely crowd-comfortable (Covid-related or not we get it).
