Philly was a wild ride this year. From barely having a new shop together to work in the past few months to air canada losing my show bike at 11pm on Friday to panic building it in the hotel room at noon on Saturday (and then adjusting some cables and tightening some stuff Saturday night )... Never ending thank you to @sramroad, @phillybikeexpo, @schwinnatallcosts for doing the massive amount of work to put something like this together. Thank you for being so easy to work wit...h and thank you for supporting us and thank you for giving us a platform to try and make things better for everyone. I’m really excited to see what comes of this and what we can do to build and grow mentorship and community. Bikes and cycling is for everyone and for some reason that’s a divisive topic, but we are here to do the work and try and move things in a better direction for all. @mothattack @pedalinobikes @untitledcycles you are all fucking amazing and each inspire me with the work that you do and what you’re trying to do and where we all want to take this to the next level. Everyone pulled out all the stops for this show and I think the caliber of work presented only reaffirms that our message is relevant and important. Keep on crushing it. THANK YOU to all the OG industry folks who took the time to come check out my work and give encouragement and advice and chat about bikes and life. For as much negativity and bs there is floating around, it’s amazing to have the positive vibes coming from those who are truly in the know. Big news! I’m back where it all started over 5 years ago, but this time as Paul Brodie’s teaching assistant for his Framebuilding 101 class out of beautiful Abbotsford, British Columbia! I’ll be posting some fun stories in this amazing shop so stay tuned!

So pleased to install this signage project I built with @hotdocs_ !!! These are the original sign letters from the Hot Docs Bloor Street cinema, that were gifted to one of their generous donors. These were at first going to go inside the house, but due to the size (almost 11ft tall) we couldn’t find an appropriate space. We then decided to feature them as a stand-alone art piece in the garden. I designed and fabricated this trellis structure that gives homage to ...the vintage scaffold-style cinema signs, while integrating nicely into a garden setting. I love that these letters live on as a beautiful and historic art piece!
