Students may be delayed getting dropped off this afternoon (via school bus). An accident on the Malahat has things backed up throughout the West Shore. Some of our drivers are stuck in traffic on the way to our bus yard. Our buses are also delayed leaving the bus yard due to traffic. This is for West Shore only.

School Bus Registration for 2021/2022: February 16-April 30 At their monthly meeting on January 26, the Board of Education approved the following changes beginning 2021/2022 school year: $25 safety fee per rider, in-catchment school bus service only (exceptions for French Immersion and Academy students, students attending an overflow school), $100 late fee per family if registering after August 31st. The new accessible path at Willway Elementary is now open! A HUGE thank you to all who helped fund, build and organize this great addition to the school and community.

Bus Route 15 is cancelled Monday, January 4th. Parents, please find alternate arrangements to get your child to and from school. We're sorry :(. Route 15 will resume on Tuesday.

Thank you to everyone who provided us with their feedback about the proposed catchment changes. Your voice will be heard! Information is now being compiled and will be presented to the Board of Education at their meeting on December 15.

Power has been restored to both Wishart and the Board Office. Update 2: Wishart's school day continues as per usual. We will notify parents right away if anything changes. Kids are warm and safe. We're continuing to monitor BC Hydro progress. Power outage to Wishart as well as the Board Office. Classes will remain in session. There is plenty of light, warmth and students are safe! Will keep you updated. Is it Friday the 13th or what!?

An accident on Gillespie Road is blocking buses from getting through for East Sooke students. RCMP estimates it may be closed 2-3 hours. Please ride share and reach out to each other.
