Thankyou to all of the high school students who came to hang out with us today! We had a BLAST, and were so blessed by all of you! The day consisted of playing games, laughing a lot, learning how to write cheque’s and check the oil in our cars, eating pizza, and worshipping with eternity in mind. We also talked about the life of David, and were able to see how God was with him in EVERY season, and then we took the time to identify where God is in the season that we are in right now.

Sometimes God asks us to step out of our comfort zone to love people. These group of SOM Year 2s are in Mexico and have spent much time with people - including going to a church for the homeless in a difficult neighborhood far from the comfortable norm of Steinbach. This team has chose to put difference aside and love each person as a brother or sister in Christ. Many people have been prayed for and encouraged and God is being glorified through their obedience as they step out in faith! #missionstrip #schoolofministers #Year2Missions

Last week Friday some SOM students spent their lunch hour skating together and making great memories.

Our very own @crisdubon has helped train our missions team for going to Mexico! Our SOM Year 2s and a few staff are headed to Cuernavaca, Mexico on Monday and there is an opportunity for YOU to help out some kids in need! They’ll be visiting a school that’s unable to afford school supplies for all the students, so we’re looking to raise $1500 so we can donate the supplies they need! It costs $11 to support 1 student. That means if 150 people donate $11, all the students would be covered!! If you’re interested in helping out, please send us a message!

Next Monday this crew (our Year 2s & few staff) will be heading to Cuernavaca, Mexico to reach out to children and adults. They will be partnering with Church Renewal churches, helping run a camp program, serving people in the community and even helping get ready for Pastor Ray to come and talk about Church Renewal to the pastors of the community! Pray for them to both show love to the people they encounter and for each person to meet Jesus in powerful ways!
