Are we in the middle of a new Space Race?

Don't forget our meeting on Saturday, at which we are discussing Daniel Wilson's novel The Andromeda Evolution, a sequel to Michael Crichton's earlier The Andromeda Strain. 1:30 pm, whether via Skype (please contact the club), or in-person at the Fox & Fiddle pub, in Citi Plaza (Galleria Mall). For those joining in-person, we will follow the current guidelines for the London area.

Don't forget our meeting tomorrow (Saturday, October 3rd), at 1:30 pm. We will discuss Ursula K Le Guinn's classic novel The Dispossessed. Published in 1974, it is won the the Nebula Award for Best Novel (in 1974) and the Hugo and Locus Awards (in 1975). For those wishing to join online, please contact the club for information on how to join via Skype. As with last month, a small number of us will be meeting at the Fox & Fiddle pub in Citi Plaza (Galleria Mall) -- and joi...ning the others, online. Please use the door at the corner of Wellington & King (the door via the mall will be closed); indicate that you are joining "the book club" -- and you will be pointed over to us. We will have a large section of the restaurant set aside for us, so there will be plenty of space (for those for whom distancing is a concern). Please wear a mask when entering the establishment, going to the washroom, and walking by others. When seated, masks may be removed. We will be ordering a cheese platter and coffee service. Please contribute "to the pot" as you are able. Any beverages or food ordered beyond that can be paid for individually.
