I have been chatting with some people recently that are either working within the security industry or trying to enter. A common complaint I get is, "They won't hire me" or "I'm not getting promoted". If this sounds familiar, then I encourage you to ask your self. What is your value? If you are not able to communicate your value to others, then others will have a hard time seeing it within you. Look within yourself and see how you can make a positive impact on your next oppor...tunity. Can you help others? Can you solve a clearly defined problem? Have you received some education that can help with a process or implementation? If you are not too sure of your value, then develop the focus required to either identify or improve. Invest in yourself first, if you want an organization to invest in you as well.
