Dear Scotia Pool Patrons We are so pleased that we have been open to serve the community for 2.5 months now! We realize that case numbers in our province are low compared to other provinces but with the recent rise in potential exposures in our area we want to remind our patrons that now is not the time to become complacent. With that being said we are sharing our guidelines once again. These guidelines are in place for the safety of you our patrons, as well as our staff. We... ask that if you plan on visiting Scotia Pool, that you follow all facility guidelines so we can continue to serve you. GENERAL INFO There are NO RENTALS at this time. ALL programs require pre-registration. Facebook Messenger will be answered during regular business hours and cannot be used to register for swims. To register, please call the pool and speak to a staff member. 902-893-6364 If you cannot make a registered swim time, please call and cancel to allow that spot for another patron. DO NOT enter the changerooms until you have been screened at the front counter and permitted to enter by a staff person. MASKS Masks are mandatory for all patrons over the age of 2. Masks must be worn at ALL times while not in the water. CHANGEROOMS Ladies Changeroom Max capacity-7 Men's Changeroom Max capacity-6 No lockers available. No personal showers! 1 shower is available in each Changeroom for pre/post rinsing only. You are able to change after swimming but please do so as quickly as possible in order to allow us to maintain our distancing guidelines. ARRIVAL TIMES AquaClasses/Lane/ Open Swims -- Please arrive no earlier than 10 mins prior to your swim time! This allows for flow through the changeroom and distancing in the lobby! Arrive ready to swim. LESSONS ONLY 1 parent/guardian permitted on deck (must wear mask at all times) No Siblings are permitted on deck during lessons. Children must leave their masks on until gathered by their instructor. We realize that these guidelines are a change from what our patrons have been accustomed to in the past but at this time they are necessary. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us to keep the facility safe and remain open. To end on a positive note, effective today, we are now accepting Debit, Visa and Mastercard. SCHEDULING CHANGE!! Effective Monday January 18th the Monday, Wednesday, Friday Aquafit class from 10:15-11 will be moved up to 10:05-10:50!! All other class times remain the same! This is to allow more time in the change rooms for the AquaTherapy class beginning at 11:15. Thank you for your cooperation. Pool Management.

Dear Scotia Pool Patrons As per the Nova Scotia Update on Friday Jan 8th,2021 from Premier McNeil and Dr Strang.... Anyone who travelled to New Brunswick in the last 14 days is asked to isolate and schedule a covid-19 test regardless of symptoms. Due to this, if you have travelled to New Brunswick in the last 14 days you will not be permitted in Scotia Pool until your 14 day isolation is up and you have a negative test result. Scotia Pool's phone lines are currently unavailable to call into the pool as we are switching providers. The open swim this afternoon and for Saturday are full but there are still spots available in the lane swim from 430-6 this evening, please stop in to book your spot. Heidi will be offering AquaZumba on Monday Dec 28th and Wednesday Dec 30th at 9-945am while Jeannine is off next week. 1015-11 is still no instructor for AquaFit. Jeannine will be back on Jan 4th with regular classes. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all the staff at Scotia Pool.

There will be Aquafit classes on Thursday Nov 26th and Tuesday Dec 1st in substitution for the AquaZumba classes until Heidi returns on Thursday Dec 3rd.

In following the guidelines put in place starting tomorrow, there will be no AquaZumba on Thursday Nov 26th and Tuesday Dec 1st so the instructor can complete the 14 days since travelling to the Halifax area. Classes will resume Thursday Dec 3rd. Thank you for your understanding.

There will be a designated area to remove your clothing and 1 designated shower for rinsing prior to and following your swim. You will be permitted to change in the changerooms following social distancing guidelines of 6ft. MAX capacity in the Men's room will b...e 6 patrons and MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES IN THE CHANGEROOM! Ladies Changeroom: Patrons are still asked to arrive ready to swim with their suits on under their clothing. There will be 2 designated areas for to remove your clothing and 1 designated area to shower prior to swimming. Following your swim you will be permitted to change in the changerooms following social distancing guidelines of 6ft and MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES IN THE CHANGEROOM! ALL PATRONS: There will be 1 shower available in each Changeroom for rinsing prior to and following your swim. Please limit these to MAX 30 SECONDS! THERE ARE "NO" PERSONAL SHOWERS AT THIS TIME! Hello Scotia Pool Patrons. We appreciate your patience and look forward to seeing you all back in the pool shortly! Staff at the pool have been working daily to prepare to reopen and are pleased to provide you with this update: October 13th the pool will have a soft partial reopening for TCSC swimmers to return to training. This time will allow us to work out any challenges that may arise with cleaning and flow through the facility as well as time to finalize our schedule a...nd staff training. November 2nd we will open to the public with a return to some of our regular programs. ALL programs at this time will require pre-registration! Scotia Pool is excited to offer our new First Responders Lane Swim. This lane swim is scheduled every Tues and Thurs from 230-330. This is our way to show our appreciation to first responders such as Doctors, nurses, firefighters, police and paramedics. Please call to pre-register your spot!

June 19th, 2020 Due to continuing COVID-19 restrictions, Scotia Pool will remain closed until further notice. We miss our pool family and will open as soon as government restrictions allow. We hope everyone has a safe and happy summer.

Scotia Pool Patrons!! With the Nova Scotia Government's extension of the State of Emergency beyond this Sunday we will be unable to run the * week scheduled swimming lessons that were set to start in March. Starting Monday May 4th, 2020 we will be contacting people who were registered and had paid for this session. We will be offering 2 options, a full refund or a full credit in the amount paid towards the next set of lessons at your convenience. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY In order to ensure the heath of our patrons and staff, Scotia Pool will be implementing the following changes to adhere to recommendations from Swim Canada during the Covid-19 pandemic. - All group programming, including Aqua classes and swimming lessons are cancelled beginning Monday March 16th. ( swimming lessons will rescheduled as soon as possible)... -We will be limiting the number of patrons at our open swims to no more than 40. -Lane swims will still be available and be in place of group classes. Friday March 13th For the immediate future, Scotia Pool will remain open, offering all regular programs. We will monitor the local situation on a daily basis, so please check our facebook page for any updates.
