Keeping yourself and others safe involves knowing when to toss your shield, and when to reuse it! Here is part 2 of our series, To Toss or Not? 1. Throw away your face shield if the foam band is visibly dirty. Reusing the shield with a dirty foam band may expose you to contaminants, so it's recommended to throw it away. 2. When the shield can no longer maintain its shape, it may not be able to properly shield airborne particles anymore. 2. Reuse your face shield if the plastic shield has been contaminated.
