Well the heating season is coming up on us finally. Did you know that carbon monoxide is a silent killer that claims more lives then you realize. Now is the time to have a trained technician look at your equipment no matter the age. A well trained tech can find issues that you may not realized you had. Carbon Monoxide exposure is usually shrugged of as coincidental like a bad headache fatigue and many more symptoms. Do you ever feel fine then get home and feel really tired. O...r be home for awhile feel fatigued maybe a headache then go outside and start feeling better. The latter is the most common feeling people have when there are heat exchanger problems in their furnaces. Carbon monoxide detectors are mandatory but not always catch a problem. This deadly gas is slightly lighter than air but pools mostly around the floor. In severe cases can build up to pool 3 or 4 feet or more. This is why in my opinion CO detectors should not be on the ceiling and be put no more than 18 off the ground. The following photos are from a customers house where we remove the furnace for the issues I stated above. Even thou this unit is about 15 yrs old i have seen this in equipment at 3 to 4 yrs old due to improper commissioning of equipment. After looking at the photos share this with tour family friends etc. You may help save someone from being very sick or not waking up one day. See more
