I know that there are some pretty spectacular drives around the Rocky Mountains but Hwy 3 through Southern BC and Alberta might be the most under rated! Just a couple pictures from the side of the road while driving this weekend! #beautifulbritishcolumbia #albertacanada #landscapephotography

Kay Falls. Maybe the best hidden gem in BC. 100ft high waterfall just steps off the highway near Sicamous British Columbia, Canada. I have driven by here my whole life, didn't know it existed until yesterday! #waterfallsfordays #beautifulbritishcolumbia #waterfalls #britishcolumbia #Canada

Short little trip to the mountains. Overcast and snowy most the day but for a brief moment the sunrise opened up. Totally worth the 2 minutes of colour! #canada #sunrise #alpenglow #canmore #rockymountains @ Spray Lakes - Canmore

Crowfoot Mountain Sunrise Was trying to get a decent sunrise picture of Crowfoot Mountain hopefully reflecting in Bow Lake. However, gusting winds were causing big waves on the lake and the clouds to the east blocked most of the light from the sunrise. There was a very brief moment where we got a little pink in the clouds so I decided to take a long exposure to make the lake look smooth and get a little more colour in the sky. A little different than I was going for but sometimes a good moody stormy pic is a good compromise!

Perfectly filtered sun rays through the golden leaves and a slight fog that was just burning off on a crisp fall morning. Taken just on Hwy 95 in Southeastern BC. A picture that I just happened to be at the right place and right time as there is no way I could have predicted quite the details from this scene. #thankgoodnessmybrakeswork

View from the highway! Driving back on Hwy 3 from BC to Alberta might be some of the most underrated views compared to the drive through the National Parks but there is no shortage of amazing vistas to stop at. Right beside the road as I was driving was a small group of horses almost posing under Crowsnest Mountain just begging for me to lock up the breaks and almost cut off a semi to not miss the photo op!

Close up Long Exposure of Derek Falls in EC Manning Provincial Park in British Columbia Canada. Love all the different flowing paths over the rocks that you can see in this close up version.

View of Twin Falls in Yoho National Park, British Columbia Canada. However, in a rare feature, the left Twin is playing shy and decided not to come out and play. Didn't hike to the top to find out why. I'm sure it's nothing a little dynamite can't fix like in the old days! I guess we'll have to return next year to get a shot of both. #yohonationalpark #explorebc #beautifulbritishcolombia #canada #landscapephotography #landscape #nature #photography #naturephotography #ig #sunset #photooftheday #travelphotography #travel #naturelovers #mountains #picoftheday #photo #photographer #canon #landscapelovers #wanderlust #landscapes #hiking #beautiful #travelgram

Derek Falls in EC Manning Park in British Columbia. Medium little hike down a couple hundred meters to the base of the valley. The falls are a scramble down ...to the bottom and totally worth it. Beautiful fall walk with the trees all yellow and green in the park! #explorebc #beautifulbritishcolumbia #canada #manningpark #travelcanada
