We love this guy!! (And we know you do too if you’ve ever met him and heard his great stories or eaten his food!!) Randy Spencer and his wife Karen have been... some of The Table’s longest donors and friends . When they owned and operated Spencer’s Tall Trees Restaurant, they donated an incredible full course dinner one Thursday a month to feed and inspire our Soup Kitchen guests, since 2007. Since retirement (definitely in brackets here, haha!), they operate Spencer’s Catering and utilize our beautiful Community Kitchen. And to top it all off, Randy, Karen and other committed volunteers create and cook delicious Soup Kitchen take home meals! As our Community Kitchen Coordinator, Randy volunteers closely with our Soup Kitchen Coordinator, Marta Bonelli to plan and make the BEST Soup Kitchen meals twice per week that anyone could ever wish for. Seriously... how are we SO blessed?!! Anyone who had the Soup Kitchen Christmas Eve turkey dinner (or has ever eaten their food!) knows what I am talking about. WE LOVE YOU AND APPRECIATE YOU SO MUCH, RANDY AND KAREN . See more
This is a great example of a small change we can make that would make a big difference in the lives of so many.
Congratulations Arden!!
Merry Christmas to all.

I love that Rona Ambrose and Jessica Dee Humphreys have partnered to create this. A portion of the proceeds from the book will go to support Plan International Canada. I am buying a copy of this book for every single elementary school in Parry Sound-Muskoka! https://plancanada.ca/day-of-the-girl
I am sharing this post to wish my soon to be former Constituency Manager and great friend Kirsten Baker all the best in her new very well deserved opportunity. With not an ounce of hyperbole, I would not be the MP today without her support, guidance and experience. My first year would have been nearly impossible without you Kirsten. And... I will absolutely steal you back from the OFSC one day! Thank you for everything
What a fantastic tribute and generous gift. Thank you Kirby Hall and all who donated materials, equipment and labour!
My colleague Jeremy Patzer is also keeping the pressure on the federal government to deliver on their many promises to a support broadband internet in rural Canada.
Inflicting prosperity on Newfoundland and Labrador...what a great example of federal and provincial partnership.
Thank you Erin O'Toole - In an exceptional response to the Throne Speech I was particularly proud of this section. We all have work to do. Photo ops, hashtags and sanctimony from Justin Trudeau do nothing to further reconciliation. #OrangeShirtDay2020
During #MentalIllnessAwarenessWeek take time to discuss mental illness, challenges that go along with it and the impact the pandemic may be having on your wellbeing. There’s no shame in speaking up. Let’s end the stigma so everyone can have the support they need! #MIAW20
While on Orange Shirt Day we remember the devastating impact of the residential school system on First Nations children and families, I hope we all embrace and vigorously take up the work of reconciliation still to be done.
We keep hearing promises about improving rural internet infrastructre. Will we see action soon?
While on duty in person today in the House of Commons, I was able to get a few minutes in with Erin O'Toole. Erin has done an awesome job in these early days as our leader and I look forward to seeing him become our Prime Minster soon!
You will soon be receiving a survey in the mail. I want to hear from you about the job I have done so far as your MP. Please fill out the form, make suggestions and send it back so I can be a better representative of you in Ottawa.
We live amidst their inspiration!
Thank you Roy MacGregor for posting this. Please share.
In support of today being the Global Day of Climate Action, I had the opportunity to meet with environmentalist group Climate Action Parry Sound. Thank you to Sam Mason, Trent Hodgson and Autumn Hodgson, the youth who presented their petition for further action against climate change. In the midst of this pandemic, it is important to remember that climate change remains a global challenge! #globaldayofclimateaction #climatechange #parrysound #muskoka
It was great to have Kenora MP Eric Melillo with me last month in Parry Sound-Muskoka for a couple days. It is always a pleasure to introduce my colleagues to the beauty of our area and to meet some of the amazing people who call this place home!
Promises are not enough - rural Canadians need action on accessing broadband internet that is both reliable and affordable.
My colleague Jeremy Patzer has been a vocal advocate for real investment and real action on rural internet access. We are all weary of the promises from the federal government to rural Canadians - now is the time to deliver on the promises made over several years. I will continue to push for action along with Jeremy and all my colleagues from rural Canada.
