Stay safe out there everyone! Drive with extreme caution and avoid travelling as much as possible!
Nearly 300 pieces of equipment station at about 75 locations across the province are ready to roll. Salt and sand is positioned strategically to limit dead/empt...y hauling. The Hotline is updated as road conditions change and drivers are reminded to be aware that driving conditions can change quickly and check the Hotline before travelling. www.saskatchewan.ca/highwayhotline Slow to 60 when passing snow plows that are pulled over with their blue lights engaged. Snow plows travel slower than normal highway speeds when performing winter maintenance. They will pull over about every 10 km or so, or when they have a safe opportunity. When plows have their blue lights on, please stay back and wait until the plow pulls over before passing.
With the blowing and snowy conditions the visibility out on our roads is low in spots. Remember to slow down and travel with caution!
The snow is back and unfortunately so is the ice, the highways are very icy tonight. Remember to take it slow and drive safe!
#YorktonRCMP are asking motorists to limit their driving this evening. We are currently experiencing freezing rain which has caused a number of car accidents. ... If you dont have to be on the roads, please stay home. If you find yourself in a car accident, please ensure the following before calling police: -All vehicles are drivable -No injuries -No suspected impaired drivers -Information is exchanged without issue If the above is in effect, police are not needed. If you do need police, please call 306-786-2400 OR 306-310-RCMP(7267) from ANYWHERE in the province for help. ^KnG
With the current weather we are experiencing we would like to remind people that driving in conditions like these can be extremely dangerous. The roads are icy and dangerous. If you do not have to drive please stay off the roads. If you do find yourself needing to drive please use extreme caution. We want to make sure you get to go home to your loved ones and we get to go home to ours. Please stay safe out there!
Saskatchewan RCMP is urging drivers in the Regina area to use extreme caution as rain and freezing rain are creating dangerous conditions on highways. These con...ditions may exist in areas across southern Saskatchewan. Please slow down to ensure your own safety and the safety of others, or better yet, avoid highway travel altogether if at all possible. ^km See more
From everyone at Scottys we would like to wish you and your family Merry Christmas and safe travels during this holiday season!
The support in the local areas over the last week has been heart felt and shows the connection between Ems, Police, Fire, and Tow trucks. We stand side by side in our communities, our lives, and on scene. Good, bad, and otherwise this comradely shows why this province Is the best in Canada. Thank you to all those taking part in the service on Saturday and the light up campaign this evening its not lost as just a gesture and will not be forgotten.
It is with heavy hearts, and bowed heads we extend our deepest condolences to the family of our fallen brother in towing. Let this tragic event be a reminder to us all, take care behind the wheel, slow down, and use extreme caution is hazardous weather. Whether blue, red, or amber lights slow down, move over and give our fellow emergency vehicles room to do their job. Rest easy fellow brother in towing.
Good Morning Everyone, with the current weather we would like to remind everyone to drive carefully, pay attention, and watch for weather updates. Have a good day.
Good morning everyone! For anyone scrolling through facebook this morning and looking at some highway travels please use caution. Icy sections and drifting again but highway crews have been out in action already this morning, so please again drive safe.
Just a reminder to travelers in the area that were experiencing a little bit of snow cover, drifting and some reduced visibility also reports of freezing rain so drive with caution as per usual. Stay safe out there thanks.
