Congratulations to Scouter David Archer of 1st Whitby, recognized today with Scouts Canada’s national award the Silver Acorn, for outstanding service to Scouting. Dave is Group Commissioner, but his resourcefulness has been far reaching, most recently as International Service Scouter at the 24th World Scout Jamboree, and team lead for a bid to host the next Canadian Scout Jamboree in 2023. He’s an active member of the Whitby Gilwell Club and has continued to assist fundraising and grant writing to benefit our Scouting youth.
