Introducing Miss Lennox Our little miracle baby arrived safe and sound last week and we are completely in love We’re taking time to get to know each other. I’m giving myself all the grace and honouring my body on an entirely different level as I recover from creating a life and a c-section, all while trying to get some sleep and remembering to eat ... We’ve made it to 3 appointments on time (including a photos shoot with @amberholtphotos where I snuck these behind the scenes shots) I’ve eaten dinner in my underwear while holding baby and I always seem to think that it’s Saturday #screwperfection It’s been exhausting and emotional and far from perfect, but at the end of the day our home is filled right to the top with love and we will continue on one day at a time

Embracing the last moments with these little hands before they’re no longer the littlest I don’t know why I’m so emotional about our new addition - it’s obviously going to rock our world in the most incredible way but I’m still worried about sharing my love and attention, and ensuring the transition is smooth and positive... it’s been just us for so long I’m told this is a normal feeling when baby #2 comes but that doesn’t really make it any easier... Momma’s of more than one, how did you work through this? Any advice or words of wisdom? I’m listening

And now we rest... 2 more weeks until baby makes her debut. I hope I enjoyed this pregnancy enough. I hope I remember all of it fondly. When I found out I was pregnant I was training 5/6 times a week. Yesterday I attempted 20 minutes of cardio on the bike and had to stop at 15 when it felt like baby girl was trying to escape ... I gained WAY more weight then I hoped but I was able to stop obsessing about it. I know that my body needed to do what it needed to do but most importantly, I haven’t forgotten what I’m capable of I’ve pretty much tried to ignore the fact that their’s a global pandemic but as I near the end my anxiety about attending the hospital for my scheduled c-section is intensifying. I send all of my strength and love to the mama’s forced to labour and deliver their babies while masked if ever there is a time to show up like a warrior it is now The reality that in just a short time I will lose my freedom for a while has hit me. So, I’ve decided to step back from media for a while and just enjoy the last days with gratitude, peace and love (mostly peace because the news stresses me out) I’ll be taking it easy, attending Physio since this watermelon in my belly has irritated my disc issue again, and I’ll be knitting - lots and lots of knitting! as I try to finish a blanket for baby (her sister got one so I have to be fair) All of this while managing pregnancy insomnia, which in my opinion is the cruelest of the pregnancy symptoms I hope that your are intentional with your time & energy as 2020 comes to an end and a New Year arrives! @substanceyyc #december2020 #9months #healyourwaytohealth #spontaneouspregnancy #fitpregnancyjourney #transformationjourney #trusttheprocess

It’s Grandparents Day! and this lady is one of my most favourite people in life She’s always up for an adventure, and armed with the most encouraging non-judgemental words of wisdom. I’m so grateful for our bond. She gives the best hugs and her presence fills my soul right up. What if instead of dieting, associating food with feelings of guilt, and looking at our bodies with disappointment and judgement we looked at our souls? We did the things that bring us joy? I took this baby belly to the beach which tbh was a struggle. Not the actual act of packing everything up and getting there, but being in public in a bathing suit. It’s been incredibly challenging to accept my pregnancy body . . I’ve already gained 50 pounds with this pregnancy - which I share not as a shameful confession, but because the reality is that this is what my body is doing. I’m incredibly swollen and have been retaining water since the beginning; part of that i...s because I’m allowing myself to eat more carbs which my body was not used to, and like every other pregnant woman, I get cravings sometimes . . As I look through my closet and see last years cute summer clothes that are now impossible to fit into, or see the memories popping up on Facebook from this time last year when I was in the best shape of my life (in a bikini on stage), I have to really shift my thoughts and feelings about my body . . Every morning I remind myself how grateful I am to be growing a human and that because I’ve transformed my body before, I know I can do it again - when I’m ready and when my body is ready. Comparison can be a thief of joy if you let it . . Baby #2 will be arriving in December . . I went from working to getting on stage, to working on one last attempt at another baby (I’ll be posting a new blog post tomorrow about my struggles with infertility) . ... . I’m almost 15 weeks today! Some days I get a walk and good sweaty workout in, and other days I get ready for bed at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. Some days I effortlessly accept my rapidly changing body and other days I struggle with comparing myself to where I was this time last year.
