Jes D.A., our Senior Editor and a proud participant of #NaNoWriMo2020, has shared with us how she prepped for her writing challenge this year: I’m a plantser (planner + pantser), which means I plan a general outline for NaNoWriMo but discover most of the story as I go. Some of my prep work included researching story structure (shout out to Helping Writers Become Authors), planning key scenes in very rough notes, and getting out some novels for reference (Peter Pan is one of my favorites!).
