****Missing***** Fawn coloured female Great Dane. Name is Farrah. She is very friendly and went missing on September 4th at around 8:00 am from the Stouffville... area on Bethesda Side Road between HWY 48 & 9th line. She has never been missing nor away from home. She is a 10 year old Great Dane and was wearing a blue nylon collar. Her collar has a Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville dog tag ID # 1306. Please call or text 289-716-7746

2 SMALL DOGS ON THE LOOSE IN STOUFFVILLE- Near the Durham Region border.Seen at 10:50pm on Sunday August 23rd 2020. A small white dog about 20lbs and a small black dog about 10lbs were seen running southbound on Thicketwood Blvd heading towards Hoover Park Drive in Stouffville. Both dogs appeared to have floppy ears. Volunteers are needed to help search for these 2 little dogs. If you have any information call Team Chelsea at 905 666 4676.

So upset and beyond words that this happened in our town and at our beautiful dog park The dog park is for enjoyment not hatred!!! I hope this person is caught and charged quickly. There is no room for this in our world! If you see suspicious activity in or around the dog park please call YRP and report it. If we let stuff like this happen in silence, we are part of the problem.

Lindsay is the owner/operator of Scruffy Muttz Dog Grooming and Pet 1st Aid in Stouffville and she is also ...a certified pet 1st aid instructor with Walks N Wags Pet First Aid. She is the founder of the Mutt Masquerade annual dog festival in Stouffville which raises money for the local rescue and promotes responsible dog ownership in town. She is also the Director for the Stouffville Dog Owners Association and works with the town to promote responsible dog ownership. Hello everyone, Hope you are all safe and healthy!! I have seen a video circulating widely online that i want to talk about. The video has a girl wrapping saran wrap around her head, smearing peanut butter on it and having her dog lick it while cutting his nails. ... Although this may work for some dogs, it is very dangerous. Many dogs will bite if their kwik gets cut. If you are in this position and you cut their kwik you will be the first thing getting a bite. If you are cutting your dogs nails try taping saran wrap to the wall and putting peanut butter on it. Do not use your body!!! Also please make sure your peanut butter does not have Xylitol in it. This is toxic to dogs and can cause seizures and possibly death. If anyone needs advice on grooming at home i am here through private message or text to help. Hello everyone! I hope you are all staying healthy and safe at home! I have had many many calls and texts for grooming and unfortunately groomers are considered non essential right now and cannot legally work. I also need to keep my family safe during this crazy time. I am available by phone, text or through social media if anyone needs advice on what to do at home with their pups grooming needs. ... Hopefully this will be over sooner than later. Next in the pet poison list: Onions & Garlic. These are part of the Allium family (which also includes chives & leeks!). They are poisonous to both dogs and cat...s with garlic being more toxic then onions. Certain breed and species are more sensitive, particularly cats & Japanese breeds of dogs (ie. Akita, Shiba Inu, etc). They cause damage to the red blood cells and make them more prone to rupturing. They can also cause gastroenteritis (inflammation of the GI tract). This can be presented as anemia, lethargy, pale gums, increased heart rate & respiratory rate, vomiting, diarrhea, exercise intolerance, and collapse). This type of poisoning may have delayed onset and the signs will not be present for several days. So it is very important to get your pet immediate attention as soon as they eat it to prevent further damage See more

During times like these we need to do everything we can to support each other. At midnight tonight all non essential businesses will be closed and our veterinar...y clinics will be at bare minimum staff. Vets all over have asked that we do not use dog parks at this time. As we all know, even during balanced play dogs can get injured at the dog park. To help support our vets through this pandemic, the Stouffville Dog Owners Association along with the Town of Stouffville have made the hard decision to close the Stouffville dog park until Covid 19 has passed. COVID-19 update: March 20 Today is a bittersweet day for WNW. Its our 20 year anniversary! Thats right, we opened our doors March 20, 2000. We intended to hos...t some fabulous giveaways this week to thank you for your loyalty. But it feels wrong to do so right now. We will postpone our celebration to a more appropriate time. In the meantime we will say a little Woohoo from here and take a moment to think back to that opening day 20 years ago. But today, most importantly, we need to focus on the health and well-being of our community. Getting ahead of COVID-19 needs to be our priority. These are challenging times, and the impact is varied from community to community. Given that we are a national organization, (with instructors also in Seattle and Denver), we need to create a plan that takes many communities into consideration. Instructors have guidelines for safe teaching practices. However, risk varies among various communities, some teaching venues have shut their doors, and we understand some instructors may opt to postpone. Therefore, weve ultimately concluded that instructors will decide on a case by case basis whether or not to postpone classes. We have also asked them to follow any guidelines from their local government. If you are registered for an upcoming date, or would like to register for a future course, please contact your instructor directly to confirm whether the course is running. We understand that the unknown can be scary. We have a chance to come together as a community and choose how to react to this threat. Please choose to react with compassion and kindness. Help a friend or Neighbour who is in quarantine, or who may be in a high risk group. If someone you know has lost their job, consider buying them a bag of groceries. Only buy what you need.
