Meet Chengay our 2020 Servus Big Share Winner who won on a Profit Share Rewards cash early entry from her mortgage! On December 15th, Servus was honoured to receive the Government of Alberta’s Minister’s Seniors Services Award in the business category. This award was earned for the senior-specific outreach program we conducted throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We've watched Burwood Distillery grow from an idea between friends to a world-class distillery. This year has been their biggest yet as they navigated the pandemic and began creating sanitizer to help the community, in additional to their extensive lineup. Now, they are taking on dragons! Tomorrow night (December 17th) at 8pm, they will appear on the grand finale of Dragon's Den to share their craft spirits and entrepreneurial story. Ahead of tomorrow's exciting debut, here's a clip on how Burwood came to be.

Today is the International Day of People with Disabilities and Servus is proud to be able to support organizations such as the Peace Area Riding for the Disabled Society (PARDS). A long-standing partnership since 2012, PARDS is a not-for-profit therapeutic riding centre that offers equine-assisted therapy to children and adults with disabilities. The goal when someone joins PARDS is to increase their self-esteem, confidence, as well as physical and mental skills. The four-leg...ged friends tall and small help to bring out the best in their riders and give them opportunities to build strength and resilience. In 2012 and 2013, Servus was also able to fund the purchase of a new therapy horse who spent many happy years helping kids and adults. Thank you for being a wonderful community partner! Since we launched the Servus Feel Good Movement, Servus has given more than $1 million in donations to community organizations, and $100,000 to deserving Albertans as part of our nomination program. We’re proud to support organizations like The Doorway in Calgary, who helps youth who are homeless or in vulnerable living situations. From the 995 unique Servus Feel Good Movement nominations we received, we awarded $1,000 gifts to 57 people, 24 businesses and 19 non-profits a grand total of $100,000! The Servus Feel Good Movement was truly a province wide initiative! We were able to gift a total of 375 gift cards to deserving individuals and organizations across 40 cities in Alberta.
