Now that we're on the other side of the holidays we can breathe a little easier. Though we should keep the spirit of supporting local alive all year long. ...Downtown Port Perry shops and eateries offer online shopping, curbside pickup, and takeout. If you are not able to purchase from them directly, engaging with them on social media to share kind words of support and encouragement also works. How to support small business right now: Shop small businesses online Buy gift cards/certificates for later Order takeout or delivery Stay home if you're feeling sick Reschedule appointments, rather than canceling Follow on social media for updates, like/share their posts Shop local, eat local, and stay local. To learn which shops offer online shopping, visit: http://discoverportperry.ca/online-shops/ Keep following this page to see updates from Downtown Port Perry businesses. Check for changes before heading out.

This year we are all celebrating the holidays a little differently. This means respecting if some families are opting out of participating in certain events. To this end, the Government of Ontario has created posters for families to use at their houses to show if they are participating or if they would rather trick-or-treaters skip their house.
