Occasionally, people reach out and ask me why their Facebook ad was rejected. I have to admit I have never considered the "sexy onion" angle LOL. I hope this awesome business gets a ton of business from this funny story -they deserve it.

Have you noticed more and more Facebook ads in your timeline that go a little like this: "We're so sad our business didn't survive the pandemic! We've slashed prices to clear the last of our inventory before we close our doors for good next week"??? They're almost always accompanied by a pic of some artisan-looking items. Guess what - 99% of them are NOT from a business that's lost everything due to the pandemic. You can say anything you want on FB ads! This is just some online store or conglomerate that's pushing sales on you just like they always have and they're using the pandemic to do it. If a genuine small business is struggling and needs a push, you'll hear about it from sources you can substantiate, like a neighbourhood business group or the local news.

A good digital marketing manager knows to pull the pre-scheduled "Let's get together in person and take a photo together" email the minute you've been diagnosed with a deadly, highly contagious disease. Just sayin'...
