"Two roads diverged..." Excited to finally have signs up to help welcome guests. With such a large house and many entrances, it can be confusing to know where to go. #seaglassbb #welcome #farmhouse #tworoadsdiverged #robertfrost #thatmadeallthedifference

Newly renovated and updated Queen bedroom at Sea Glass B&B. Nature transforms broken glass into Sea Glass using water, salt and sand. Part of the magic of sea glass is that it is sand, twice transformed. Glass is made from liquid sand, after it has been heated to 1700C (3090F) and then formed and cooled in its new shape. Once a glass container has been discarded in the ocean, it is broken into shards and then swirled together with sand particles. As if remembering its former life, the glass pieces allow the sand to dance with it, wearing down the sharp edges until they are smooth and rounded. Then, these jewels of the sea nestle in the sand on the shore, waiting to be discovered. Inspired by this element integral in creating sea glass, this room is called Sand Stone.
Newly renovated and updated Queen room at Sea Glass B&B. Nature transforms broken glass into Sea Glass using sand, salt and water. Sea glass owes much of its formation to the constant motion of the waves. Although wild and unruly, waves form a predictable pattern. The repeated rolling of the water creates an environment for the rough edges to be worn away. The tides pull the waves back from the shoreline, leaving beautiful ocean gems for the persistent treasure-hunter to find. Inspired by this element integral in creating sea glass, this room is called Waves End.
Newly renovated and updated room at Sea Glass B&B! Nature transforms broken glass into Sea Glass using water, sand and salt. Sea glass cultured in the ocean owes its magical frosted look to salt. The salt creates a C pattern across the surface, creating opacity. The beauty of the glasss translucence has caught the wonder of treasure-hunters of all ages throughout the years. Inspired by this integral element in creating sea glass, this room is called Sea Frost.

Gearing up for the new season, and that means more DIYs. New curtains have been hung and antiques have been purchased at auctions, including this chair. I have reupholstered chairs before, but never one this ancient! I decided to change the straw stuffing for some modern polyfill. So interesting (and dusty!) to see how older pieces were constructed!
Excited about some new pieces for our dining room mantle. Now for some spring flowers to fill those bottles!

Enjoying the new life from this garden that constantly surprises me. Love the structure of this bloom!
PEI potato roses for our honeymoon couple.
We allowed guests to have their teenage granddaughter sleep on a cot in their room due to a shortage of rooms at this peak season. I put a mermaid pillow on her bed and found this when I went in to make up the room.
Hauntingly beautiful night.
