Seahorse Cafe & Gallery Telegraph Cove, BC

One of the good things of not opening this May long weekend is to celebrate our anniversary at someone else's cafe! (As we blab old Seahorse memories)

Once upon a time in Telegraph Cove. Life in TC was so much more than running a cafe. The pit where we camped out housed great, positive people. There was a lot of buena onda (good vibes) as we say in the good ol México. Photo from the last day of operation with buena onda Jono.

An athletic man in his late 20s has been spotted repairing the roof of the Seahorse building. The reporter on the scene was aggressively asked to leave. Who is this man? Why is the roof being replaced? The Seahorse FB page will investigate further!

Hello friends of Seahorse. We are still exploring our options for a future Seahorse 2.0 reopening. The Original Cafe building will get a new roof during the summer and our equipment sits in storage. The Gallery building won't come with us to a new location as we sold It to our friends at the Waters Edge Adventures in Telegraph Cove. It will be turned into an off the grid accommodation cabin. We are still sitting on some great silver jewelry and will offer some of it here. Pick up in Port Mcneill or we can ship to Canada, USA and Europe. Here are some examples from today's photo shoot. The story about Mr. C & Mr. K. May is here and I feel a bit nostalgic when looking back at our 16 seasons in Telegraph Cove and the fact that we are not in TC now, preparing, for season 17. I fondly think about all the good people that have been hovering around the Seahorse during the years. One person was this little, energetic kid that constantly was buzzing around TC with his brother. This is around 2006 to 2010. His name is Marcus and so is mine. BUT mine is Markus with ...a k. He therefore became Mr. C and I became Mr. K. Marcus if you are reading this you might admit to being a bit of a wild 11 year old. I had to be a bit patient with some of your behavior . It didn't take too long until we gained each other's respect. Years past and it was always like ; wassup Mr K? How are you Mr C? When there was a lull at the cafe we played soccer on the patio together with his brother, master juggler, Liam. Then Mr C grew up and I didn't see him around in the summers. Kids become teenagers and move on to other things. One afternoon in July 2019 I walked over towards the boardwalk to pick up our mail from the post box. I see a young, tall man with a baseball cap on. He looks at me with a big smile and says - Wassup Mr K!? Time flies Mr C. See more
