Nihoghe'ni Dene (Land Guardian/Community Representative) in Northlands First Nation and Sayisi Dene First Nation Part time flexible 80 hours a month or 20 hours a week at $30/hr.... Become a very IMPORTANT part of the Seal River Watershed Alliance. Must be able to fulfill two aspects of the job: 1. Be Active in your home Alliance community Promote the Indigenous Protected area (Seal River Watershed) Attend conference call's with team Conduct interviews with Elders, Land Users Go door to door with survey or petition Be able to organize community information sessions with help from team 2. Be active on the land. Hunts, Fishes, Harvests regularly Is able to teach youth land-based skills Works with scientists to monitor wildlife from time to time We envision a pristine watershed where people, animals and fish are healthy, our unique languages and cultures are thriving, and there is hope and abundance for all future generations.
