How can a person get excited about a zipper replacement? But, I am! I’m excited to get this gentleman’s very nice warm coat back to him. This coat marks 40 zipper replacements this season. That’s a lot of people I’ve helped! I’m feeling proud of myself! And, grateful!

This snowmobile suit needed a new jacket zipper and a new pull on one of the leg zippers of the pants.

2 times in a week I have worked on clothing that was bequeathed to another. Some clothing is good enough to serve others after your gone. A new zipper and new snap for a good warm coat and a knee repair from the inside on a pair of well loved hunting pants.

Been mending asses of pants quite a bit these days. These are Ryan’s. Also, about to start a project that is sewing, room divider curtains, for a home based beauty salon. Lots of fabric! 8 ft long and lots of width! I’m going to be busy! Beautiful, luxurious fabrics.

All my adult masks sold out yesterday. Thank you for liking my masks! I’m proud of the quality masks I’m now creating. I’m busy filling orders and making more. I will post as more become available. Stay safe. Stay calm.

Some masks are completed again! Yeah! Kids also this time. I’ve decided to not attach the elastic at the bottom until purchase as getting a one-size fits all elastic length is pretty much impossible. I have been using different kinds of elastic and each one has a different elasticity. Attaching at purchase is the best possible way of getting a good fit. All masks are $10 each. I can ship them also. Also, I’ve been mending and reinforcing jeans, pants, shorts. Cutting pants off for shorts. Hemming. Some bridal. Some zippers. Drop offs and pickups are distanced. Enjoy your day. Stay safe and stay calm.

Still a bit different doing business these days. A grad, 2 bridesmaids, 1 groomsman, hems, cutting off pants for shorts, a few pants zippers and still sewing masks.

It’s been a memorable month. Grateful! My grandson Blake was born on April 14th. He’s very sweet! I love when a new baby arrives! I get to sew baby things. Receiving blankets, definitely, but this time also doll clothes for 3yr old, big sister. I love working with flannel. It’s so soft. It also inspired me to sew pj’s for the older kids. Plus, when my oldest grandson heard about the doll clothes, he decided that Derek the shark needed a tank top for summer. Lol. And Face masks, of course!

I have learned so much about making masks over the last week or so. Kids one. Cone design. 2 layers of cotton.

I do now have 1 mask ready for sale $10. Yesterday’s prototype was a fail. Wearing it proved it to be too thick to breath easily. Today’s correction is perfect! The fabric is soft, light, water resistance, yet washable. 2 blue up next.

My insulated food storage tote. I made 2 of these. My sister, Nadene has the other one. She uses hers a lot, as do I use mine. This bag has toted lots of cabbage rolls and kept them warm! Yes, that’s a roaster. The bottom is 10x14.

Done. Made totally with materials I already had. It feels good to make something usable out of what is unusable.

I’m working on creating the ultimate shopping bag. I’m going to compete in the bag market. I like making bags. I’ve made approximately 30 to date. The new prototype will be sturdy, it will have pockets, It will have handles that make it easy to carry, and can go over the shoulder, it will be lightweight. And it will be made of plastic, so it can be wiped clean. Is there anything I’m forgetting? And all of this from a plastic pillow bag! My mother would be so proud of me to recycle something to make it so useful. I will post the end result. It will be COOL.
