Seamus Gee Legacy Project 09.12.2020

I would like to congratulate Marcus Raymond on being selected as this years recipient of The Seamus Gee Memorial Trades Bursary. It was my pleasure earlier this week to be able to present the bursary to Marcus. Marcus was selected after the selection committee reviewed all applications and we could see that he embodied so many similar characteristics to Seamus both in school and personally. After meeting Marcus in person and also speaking with his Father later it was clear we... had made the right choice. Marcus will be moving on to his next chapter in January 2021 to attend his first year of his 4 year apprenticeship in the Carpentry Program in partnership with KPU. We wish you all the success in the future and look forward to following your career as it progresses. #seamusgeelegacyproject #carpentry #trades #langleysecondaryschool #lss #langley #givingback #buildingourfuture

Seamus Gee Legacy Project 22.11.2020

This was 6 years ago and Seamus had just turned 11 a few weeks earlier. This was Seamus’ first big arena concert and man was he excited. Many times before this we had rocked out to Motley Crue and Alice Cooper. After this show he kept asking over the years to go see Alice Cooper again but when he was headlining so he could see a longer show and more theatrics. Just a couple of days before Seamus passed away we bought tickets for the next Alice Cooper concert as he was going ...to be headlining playing in Abbotsford. We had gotten really good seats and Seamus was excited for this. Even though Seamus had passed away I kept his ticket and was going to bring one of his favorite rock shirts with me to the concert and lay it on what would’ve been Seamus’ seat. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 the concert was eventually cancelled. Once concerts start up again though if I have another opportunity to see Alice Cooper I will still buy Seamus a seat and bring that shirt with me. Love you L’il Buddy!!!! #seamusgeelegacyproject

A year ago today we held the Remembering Seamus Ceremony. It was a day filled with sadness, laughs, tears and a lot of love. Reflecting back on the amount of people that showed up to pay their respects and share stories of Seamus was overwhelming. To hear how much Seamus touched so many lives, more than I was ever aware of was very heartwarming. If anyone else has more stories or pictures I would love to hear/see them. Much love to everyone!!!... Missing Seamus so much!!! Love you L’il Buddy!!! #seamusgeelegacyproject

I still keep Seamus’ L in the glove box in my car, it will be staying there for as long as I am driving and he will always be with me on the road. Received this in the mail a year ago. Got this in the mail the other day. Seamus was so happy the morning he got his license and I let him drive my car.... Little things like this make me smile but at the same time cry as I know he had so many plans in place for his future Missing you L’il Buddy!!! #seamusgeelegacyproject

Seamus Gee Legacy Project 27.09.2020

This was last year. I had the amazing privilege today to be invited out by 1 of Seamus’ former rugby teams The Langley Rugby Club to come and watch them play as they were honouring Seamus today before and after the game. Seeing how much Seamus has touched so many people has definitely been helping us deal with all of this. These amazing young men played their hearts out and welcomed myself, Darcie and my Mom with open arms. The respect and care for us that the...y showed touched the 3 of us deeply and we will be forever grateful for this opportunity this afternoon. #seamusgeelegacyproject

This was 3 years ago. Seamus got a Junior Membership Langley Rod & Gun Club. He did well and this also led to him getting a job working there as well which allowed him to have some independence and be able to buy some of the things that he wanted himself. RIP L’il Buddy!!!! ... #seamusgeelegacyproject
