The Calgary housing market is balanced for detached homes, with increased sales in the lower price range. Mortgage rates are at historical lows and oil has reached $50 today. It has been the same for real estate we have had to cope with uncertain times and not sure where the Calgary market was moving. Calgary sales dropped in the 2nd quarter.... However, mortgage rates came down to historical low levels, below 2%. Calgary home buyers came out and sales have been going up. So where are we at right now? In terms of the Calgary real estate market. Sales in September jumped to over 1,700 homes. The strongest September sales since 2014 when oil was over $100. Did you know that the average price of a detached home increased in value by nearly 1 %, from Sept last year to this Sept. Detached prices are stable. I won’t go through all the market data here.
